What a hexy pack! With this kit, you’ll learn how to integrate sensors, microprocessors, and conductive materials to build a functional and stylish glove.
Imagine the possibilities: instantly capturing color codes for your design projects, coding, or digital artwork. It’s not just a project; it’s a practical tool that blends creativity with technology. Dive in and discover the satisfaction of creating something uniquely yours!
I’ve used a Adafruit Flora microprocessor board in this circuit. The centerpiece of this kit is the Adafruit Flora microprocessor board. Paired with a color sensor, it detects colors and sends the HEX code to an OLED display, while RGB Pixels show a close approximation of the color. Plus, you can connect it to your computer and press a button to send the HEX code directly to your screen!
I have uploaded the code for both the Flora and Circuit Playground (there are a couple of differences because of the pixels) so you can make this with either board.
Note: Video shows an alternative version with a circular LED colour lights. The kit version includes the original grid square of lights.
To make the hand HEX system you’ll get as part of this kit, all the items you’ll need:
